So, this being the 16th March, it was the day before St Patricks Day and I found myself wondering:
Will we (the passengers) be celebrating St Patrick’s a day early as we are at sea on the 17th! 🤞

As per the previous day, all this relaxing (or was it the alcohol) really was taking its toll and so, we had another very lazy day (even though we both wanted to go ashore to the karaoke bar we both knew it probably wouldn’t be a good idea). Post breakfast we again attempted laps but we did have to keep stopping to check shore side to see if anything was happening 😉.
On previous visits, it has been quite entertaining to see the passengers come back from the karaoke bar clearly the worse for wear with many of them struggling to put one foot squarely in front of the other: As for them trying to find their cruise cards, that would make a hilarious TV comedy sketch. Last year, 2023, ships officers were sent ashore to escort them all back safely and on time. We were hoping that this year would be a repeat but, unfortunately, it was not to be: Maybe the bars had been told to keep them calm, or perhaps it was building works 🤔.
The one thing we did notice however, (how could we not?) was the growth of a new block of flats (we think it’s going to be a hotel) which quite disappointingly spoiled (in our opinion) the atmosphere of the cruise terminal: No doubt it will be out of bounds to cruise passengers!

Having had another restful day on board (we did eventually go ashore but only to purchase a couple of souvenirs to annoy the ‘children’) we sat out on our balcony to watch as we sailed away from St Lucia enjoying the beautiful sunset knowing however that we would be back in 8-days for one final visit before our eventual return to Southampton.
Having satisfied ourselves that the Captain had safely manoeuvred out of the cruise port and left the island and had set course for St Kitts: As we had a whole day at sea (St Patricks Day); before getting there however the Captain did promise us a slow ‘sail-by’ of Dominica. And with that, we finished our glasses of wine and set off for dinner which this evening was to be in the Glass House where they did serve our favourite wine, as recommended by Ollie Smith, a very, very nice Bacchus which, as a excellent alternative to Sauvignon Blanc – we had a bottle and had a mix up from the Mini and Mighty Menu Options – Yummy Yummy.
After dinner it was back to the Crows Nest for a cocktail or two before retiring.
That evening, we [again] failed to go to bed on the same day we got up. 🥴
Step count – 6481 🥴
