Mostly today, most passengers will be packing:
We however are not, because we’re staying on for [another] 2-weeks and will be sailing all the way back to Southampton. Much more civilised than flying 😋
Yay 😏
Today, we did a slow drive by/ kerb crawl of St Lucia (The Pitons): Unfortunately, this is the best picture I could get but at least it’s a picture with the Gros Piton to the fore (it is in fact possible to hike up but Podge isn’t allowed: Tubbs says so 🥺) and Petit Piton behind. It is possible to climb Petit Piton but skill in climbing or an expert guide would probably be most recommended.
Now, for us, today was [again] a great day because it was [again] packing day for most (the cruise ends tomorrow) but [again] not for us 😋 – We’ll be sitting in the Sunset Bar [again] relaxing with a cocktail or two [again].

Breakfast was as Breakfast is: A totally civilised affair in the Epicurean restaurant though this morning was slightly different as many people would be looking [forward!] to packing, ready for their homeward journey the next day. Not to be too smug about it but we were quite relaxed and looking forward to meeting new friends in Barbados though not necessarily looking forward to saying au revoir (never, ever goodbye) to our old friends.
Post breakfast we attempted to do some laps but because it’s the penultimate day, most people were out trying to get the last of suns rays before returning home and the subsequent dreary weather: As such, the decks were covered in bodies making walking too onerous (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it) so we went downstairs for coffee then went to the shop to finish off our on board credit (OBC) to buy some sweets and of course my duty free whisky, for the next two weeks 😉.
We then returned to our quarters to rest a while on our balcony and watch out for flying fish, dolphins, whales, and sharks. We saw a few flying fish but that was it. We did feel that the number of flying fish sightings was way down on previous cruises: Hopefully, that just down to our eyesight being less than it was.
Five o’clock brought fivesies [again] so, rested, we dressed for a casual evening and went to the Sunset Bar for Pink Gin Spritz and Mai Tai or three (Podge does so love Mai Tai’s) before heading to the Glass House for dinner and a bottle of Bacchus moving on to the Crows Nest for a Cosmopolitan and MaiTai then, finally, bed time (only this time, we went back to the Glass house, just for one more drink).
Again, we failed to go to bed the same day we got up.
Step count – 5543 🥴
