Today was another day when we were to be made to feel very special, recognised and appreciated. Today, once more, we were invited to senior officers lunch with the odd drink or two, or three, or four 🥴. After which, once more, both Podge and Tubbs needed a bit of a lie down afterwards.

Alongside the odd drink or two, or three, or four 🥴, we also had to sate our appetite by choosing from a menu created especially for the occasion. For us, we both elected to have:

To Start:
Loch Fyne Salmon with: Deep Fried Nori, Crispy Capers and Citrus & Red Onion Salad.
Followed By:
Champagne Sorbet
For Main:
Pine Nut-Crusted Fillet of Sea Bass with: Crushed New Potatos, Parsnip Purée and Samphire Shoots
For Desert:
Dark Chocolate Mouse complimented by Amarula Cherry Compote and Caramelised White Chocolate
Finished nicely by:
Vanilla Bean Fudge
All washed down by a selection of Champagne, Red Wine, White Wine and a rather yummy Port. I think coffee was on offer but quite honestly, we were both full up by then.

Hunger and thirst fully sated, we both returned to the comfort of our lovely Suite for a much needed rest before Dinner 🥴

Five o’clock brought fivesies so, rested, off we went to the Sunset Bar for Pink Gin Spritz and Mai Tai x2 (Nancy will let me have no les 😋) before returning to dress for our formal evening in the Epicurean for some more Yummy Yummy Time but just a couple of glasses of wine as we were starting to lag a little. We then proceeded to the Glass House for a bed time Cosmopolitan and MaiTai then, finally, bed time.

It was about this time in the cruise when I remembered a slogan we used for Podge’s Paris To Hayling Cycle Rides: “The Liver is Evil and Must be Punished” – I thought to myself, ‘Well, we’re doing a [good] job at that!’ – Not sure if [good] is appropriate. But, we were having a great time and we are on our Holibobs after all 😎.

Again, we failed to go to bed the same day we got up.

Step count – 3543 🥴
